The KnitFit 8 sizes (see details below)
Intermediate level pattern! Along with written instructions based off of standard body measurements for bust sizes 46(48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60)”/117(122, 127, 132, 137, 142, 147, 152) cm, this pattern includes detailed instructions on how to tailor each of these pieces to your body. It does require some simple math on your part, but the finished tailored look is well worth it!
Sizes: Sizes are tailored to standard body measurements for bust sizes 46(48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60)”/117(122, 127, 132, 137, 142, 147, 152) cm. Designer’s note: Feel free to mix and match sizes for a more tailored fit to your body!
Gauge: 16 stitches and 20 rows per 4” (10 cm) in 2x2 ribbing with fingering weight held double (st gauge is taken when stretched, row gauge is taken when relaxed).
Designer’s note: Several testers found that they preferred to go down a significant number in needle sizes to get the “fabric” they wanted. I highly suggest doing a gauge swatch beforehand and adjusting your needles to get the correct gauge and fit of your liking! The important thing is to make sure that your swatch is able to stretch to 4 sts to the inch. Remember, the way your swatch stretches will tell you the way your garment will fit to your body! If you want your garment to have a tighter fit you will want your swatch to be firmer stretch.
Needles: (2) 40” circular needles and a DPN in size needed to achieve gauge listed above (suggested size: (2) 40”/US 10/6mm needles. Plus (1) size J/K crochet hook for the trim (optional).
Materials used: Mister Wool Superwash Merino Singles held double (fingering; 100% merino wool; 438 yds/100 g, or any other yarn that knits up to desired gauge).
Yardage:
Designer’s note: If you are going to be tailoring this to your body, I suggest you plan accordingly with yardage. Better to be on the safe side and purchase more than suggested.

Construction
Skirt: This skirt begins with a provisional CO at the “hem/waistline” of the garment. It is then worked in the rnd, implementing increases until desired hip circumference and length are reached. The hemline and lifeline are then picked up and bound together (after).
Dress: To create your skirt into a dress, you will begin by picking up along the provisional CO. You will then work in the established (p2, k2) pattern for desired waist length and then move to the “Top” section.
Top: This top begins from the bottom up. It is then worked in the rnd, implementing increases until desired bust circumference is reached. It is then split and worked flat in 4 different sections (left-front, right-front, left-back and right-back) to create the V-neck shaping. Straps are then attached using the Kitchener Stitch for an invisible finish.
